Do You Know AHLI?

Dear Partner Agents,

Thank you for partnering with AHLI. In an attempt to get to know each other better, we would like to briefly share about our history and mission for the future.

AHLI Started with Hosting One Student:

  1. Ruth Powers hosted a Japanese student in Lancaster, PA. (1972)
  2. Ruth and Marvin founded a homestay program for many students. (1984)
  3. American Home Life International (AHLI) became a non-profit. (1991)
  4. AHLI expanded program offerings and across the USA to 29 states and partnered with 130+ schools. (1993-2014)

Since then, we have kept the momentum and worked with more than 17,000 students from 30 countries over the past 35 years!

AHLI’s Mission for the Future:

  1. Our focus remains on providing students with the best cultural, academic, leadership, sports, and homestay immersion experiences.
  2. Our specialty is ensuring that students have quality homestays with families who are eager to build cross-cultural friendships.
  3. Our goal is to provide individualized support to students with academic needs, language assistance, and social opportunities.
  4. Our vison is to keep improving what we do best, offering programs for Academic year (F-1 and J-1) and short-term (up to 12 weeks) and creating unique program opportunities, such as short-term sports and STEM camps.

We appreciate your partnership with us and look forward to helping more of your students with the AHLI experience in the USA!
