J-1 Public School Program

AHLI’s J-1 Public school program matches students with participating AHLI J-1 Public schools based on the student’s interests, academic ability, and available host families. With our wide network of public schools across several states, students are matched with a school and host family that’s a good fit for them. Students will have a well-rounded high school experience, with the opportunity to participate in school sports and activities. Students cannot choose their school or their host family. This program is an excellent choice for students who want the traditional exchange experience of improving their English while experiencing American culture and attending a local high school. Students will study for 1 academic year, but diplomas are not granted.  Since families are volunteers and the high schools do not collect tuition, the J-1 high school program is a great choice for our budget conscious students.
